Cara Goodall
Tasha Snow
Cara Goodall, Owner of Pet-Set Sitting has been running Pet-Set Sitting since 2005. While working at a top dental veterinary hospital in Toronto she found that clients were in need of in home pet care. With her previous experience in pet grooming, horse farm care and veterinary care as well as her love of all animals added with her educational background in Small Business, it seemed like the perfect fit to start a pet care business.
Cara moved to Alberta in 2008 having lived in Calgary for the first 2 years before moving to Sylvan Lake.
Tasha was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House. From the time Tasha was a young child she has been around animals and has had a love for them. When she was 16 she bought her very own shit szu. She learned at a young age the responsibilities involved with taking care of pets. Throughout her childhood and as a young adult she also had cats, fish and even piglets.
Tasha is now married, and shares her life with her husband Taylor and their 3 year old Australian Shepherd, Keeka. They live on an acreage that has lots of room for their ambitious, energetic dog to run and play.
Tasha has several years of experience caring for pets. Having her own dog/other pets she knows the importance of proper health care, training, nutrition, personal care and of course the love and attention needed to care for a pet.
Tasha has a passion for dogs, and a special place in her heart for all animals. She would one day love to open a shelter for stray animals. Tasha is very excited to be working for Pet-Set and cant wait to meet your pets! You can be assured that your pet will be getting the best care and same love and compassion that she shows for her own dog!

You will work as a sub-contractor and have flexibility to determine where, when, and how your work is done (as long as you respect some basic requirements and respond to the needs of our clients and their pets).
You will earn one of the industry's best rates.
You will interact with kind, animal-loving people who will appreciate and welcome the services you will provide, and who will trust you with their homes and pets.
You will work flexible hours ... most clients are easy-going about visiting times (others may specify a time if, for example, their pets need medicines). Our normal service hours are from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., 7 days per week, and visit durations range from 30 minutes to 60, and may even be overnight if you accept such an assignment.
You will visit clients and pets in their homes by driving around your neighbourhood (typically no more than 15 km from your home unless you want a larger territory), and won't be stuck behind a desk in a cubicle all day long.
You will walk dogs, get exercise, and lots of fresh air, so you will improve the health of many dogs and your own at the same time.
You will be pleasantly greeted at front doors by many pets that will be happy to see you and to also give you lots of unconditional love, affection and attention in return for just enough food & water, and tons of play time and TLC.
You will experience improvements to your stress levels ... studies show that spending time with animals is relaxing and beneficial to human health.
You will learn about pet health and what it takes to become one of the region's most respected, professional pet sitters.
If you love animals and interacting with people; know you are responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented; have a reliable home computer with access to the Internet; have strong administrative/organizational skills; have a clean driving record and a reliable insured vehicle (Not a must); and you are not afraid to network with Veterinarian clinics / hospitals, pet groomers and pet owners, we want to hear from you.

We work hard to support our team. Below are highlights of how.
We provide a discounted rate for our sitters' liability bond and insurance, which is a costly necessity for any professional sitter or dog walker (clients expect this for their own comfort, and it shows our commitment to the security of their home and pets).
We provide initial & ongoing training and continues with on-the-job coaching and specialized sessions that cover topics like pet first aid.
We pay for & provide all the forms and documents needed, and we work continuously to improve them so our sitters can feel proud and assured that clients will see the "professionalism" they bring.
We pay for & provide marketing materials and coaching to help our sitters network and raise awareness about their availability for pet/house sitting services in their neighbourhoods.
We pre-screen all assignment requests to ensure they are valid before asking sitters to decide if they want to take them on after deciding they fit their schedules and meet their desires.
We work on a very personalized level and are always available. We answer questions and solve problems quickly, and we invite suggestions for change and improvement.
We have clear & concise policies / procedures so you will never have to guess about what you should or should not do.
